Dear Colleagues and Friends

     This is the second circular for the forthcoming Fourth International Mycovirus Symposium to be held at Huazhong Agricultural University, October 10-14, 2017. We are pleased to inform you that pioneering scientists, Drs. Reed Wickner and Dr. Don Nuss, have been accepted our invitation to deliver keynote lectures. Furthermore, we are trying to invite more excellent investigators to attend this symposium, and we will update our information on this website. We shall be able to exchange a lot more updated knowledge about mycoviruses from this symposium.

General Registration and Symposium Information

Financial Assistance

Limited financial assistance is available for young scientists or students in this symposium. Financial support includes a waiver of the registration fee, the grant may also include support for their travel expenditures. Yong scientists or students who wish to apply for financial support should submit an abstract, on which they are first authors or corresponding authors, by April 15, 2017. Late applications, or applications where the scientist is not the main author, will not be considered. We will make its decision to support individual contributions by May 31, 2017. All applicants will be informed after the decision via email.

ONSITE REGISTRATION is possible, but discouraged. We do not guarantee any hotel rooms, and we will not supply any space for presentations for onsite registrants.

Registration

Registration is very easy. You just need to return a completed registration form to us BY E-MAIL (jiataoxie@126.com or jiataoxie@mail.hzau.edu.cn ) . The registration form can be found in the left panel (click the "Register Now") of this websitepage. We will provide registration confirmation and an invoice based on the time the registration is received. You will pay the invoice when you check in for the Symposium.

Registration confirmation. You will receive an email confirmation notice, with an attached copy of your invoice acknowledging your registration submission within 72 hours after receiving your registration form.

Visa application

It is time to start visa preparation for those of you who are required to enter China. We think you can find the requirements for application Chinese Visa from Chinese Embassy website. We, the symposium organizer, would be happy to provide you an invitation letter if necessary.

Local transportation

All oversea attendees will be picked up from Wuhan international airport or from any railway station in Wuhan (Wuhan has three railway stations) on the check-in day (October 10), and on October 14 & 15, all oversea attendees will be transported to the airport or railway stations.

Cancellation Policy

The organization committee will prepare this symposium based on expected number of registrations. Cancellation of a registration will be acceptable; however, the committee will appreciate a notification being sent to the Organizing Committee via E-mail to Dr. Jiatao Xie (jiataoxie@126.com or jiataoxie@mail.hzau.edu.cn ) before September 15, 2017.

Tourism

During the symposium, we will provide some touristic attractions in Wuhan, such as excursion to be well-known Yellow Crane tower, Hubei Museum (where you will see 2490-year-old Chimes and enjoy its beautiful sound) and excursion to the surging Yangtze River at night. Post the symposium; you will have a chance to visit the Three Gorges Dam (the largest dam in the world, 2 hr by shuttle train), Terra Cotta Warriors (Xi’an), the Great Wall (Beijing) or other places. You may easily choose by shuttle train or by air plane to visit Xi’an, Beijing or other places since Wuhan is a transportation center in China.
